Making the Game Frame with Xion Headmaker (Written by Sinful Angel)

I take no credit for this tutorial as I’m just reposting an original tutorial by Sinful Angel she taught me how to make game heads all credit for this goes to her.  She no longer maintains her site so I have emailed her to to let her know I’d be reposting her original one with some updated information.

Tools Needed for this Tutorial

Blank Frame

Orbitron Font – Download

PSP 7.02 – Download

Xion Head Maker – Download

Eyecandy 3 – Download

Blank Frame

Save the blank silver frame and open in PSP or other graphics
program. Increase color depth to 16 mil.

Using Orbitron font at size 10, no stroke, and black fill, place the
desired name on the silver portion of the frame.

Promote text to layer, lower opacity to about 85%, and add a white drop shadow using Eyecandy, distance 1, blur 1, opacity 100%.

Save the frame as a gif file.

Promote text to layer, lower opacity to about 85%, and add a white drop shadow using Eyecandy, distance 1, blur 1, opacity 100%.

Open Xion Headmaker

First choose which game (if any) you would like inside of your frame. Do this by clicking on the appropriate button in the area circled in red below.

Next, fill in the sections for Head Name and Listname (circled below). The Head Name is the name which will appear in your games list in VP. The List name is the name that will appear in the names list in the chat room.

Next, fill in your URL (optional) and choose some background music if desired (trust me this will drive you nuts so I recommend leaving it blank).

Next we need to configure the layout of our head. Click on the area circled below. You will then get a popup window with the selections GIF, Gradient, and Solid. Select GIF. Navigate to where you saved your frame when you finished it in PSP and click OPEN.

Now we need to configure the size of the frame and add laps (if any). Right click in the black area under “Seat Name” and choose “Add Seat Manually”. The following will appear:

The settings for the Main seat will always be X=0, Y=0, Width=104, Height=118. Fill those numbers in the area circled in red above and click “Done”.

Repeat these steps for each seat (lap) you want to add to your frame. Use the numbers in the charts below:
